I served as the project leader, UX/UI planner, and designer for a mobile web project tailored to Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) patients at Boston Scientific Korea. The primary responsibilities included conducting user-friendly UX research and designing site prototypes with a focus on the characteristics of elderly patients.

This project was a collaboration between Boston Scientific Korea, Boston Scientific Headquarters (US), and the partner agency INVENTA. As the project lead, I acted as the liaison among the three organizations and oversaw the overall site content. I selected and translated content from the US and European Boston Scientific sites, led virtual meetings with the US headquarters, and maintained smooth communication via email. I also coordinated meetings and email communications with the partner agency INVENTA. I ensured effective communication across all parties and facilitated the exchange of necessary resources. Additionally, within the Boston Scientific Korea team, I led multiple internal meetings, managed material requests from other departments, and provided daily updates on the project’s progress.

I compiled a large volume of brochures, reports, and research papers on DBS medical devices, surgeries, and services provided by Boston Scientific’s headquarters and Korean branch. I systematically translated and organized content most relevant to patients. I also incorporated the layout and content of the new DBS website planned by the US headquarters into the UI design of the mobile site. Using Figma, I created wireframes, shared drafts with the headquarters and INVENTA, and made revisions based on feedback. I developed an interactive prototype and conducted usability testing with three elderly participants (aged 65+), whom I recruited personally, to finalize the prototype.

At the conclusion of the project, during my final week as an intern, I created and presented a summary of the project’s objectives and outcomes in front of all company employees.
